There are so many great websites out there.  Here are a few that inform and inspire me.

www.lamaze.org - another wonderful site for empowering and informing pregnancy and childbirth

www.bcdoulas.org - for locating a birth/postpartum doula

Blogs I Enjoy

Stand and Deliver - Rixa Freeze has a PhD in American Studies and writes about her own personal journey to parenthood, as well as reflecting upon general issues in pregnancy, birth and parenting.  Her PhD dissertation on unassisted childbirth is posted here.

The Unnecesarean - “Jill Unnecesarean” started this website after refusing an elective c-section for a suspected big baby.  After she safely delivered her baby vaginally, she began collecting birth stories from other women in the same situation, as well as exploring current topics in pregnancy and birth.

Dou-la-la - If I could write a blog, this would be it.  “Dou-la-la” explores pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, parenting, and provides lots of interesting links for current books and movies.

Enjoying the Small Things - A beautifully photographed and uplifting mommy blog.  If you feel like shedding a few tears (in a good way), be sure to check out baby Nella’s birth story.

PhD in Parenting - This blog explores different topics in parenting and is sure to stretch your thinking.

Birth Photographer – Birth photos aren’t for everyone, but check out this blog if you want to inspire yourself for your big day.  And if you’d like to consider a photographer at your birth, I know a few I can introduce you to!

Elliot 365 - Another fabulous and inspiring photo blog for all you parent’s-to-be (and something I wish I had done for my girls).

My facebook Fan Page - Provides links to interesting blogs I come across, exploring pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting.
